Is there anyway to celebrate our favorite singer, Taylor Swift’s birthday in any other way than just giving back to a cause that is close to her heart?

There are multiple animal shelters that are running the Taylor Swift challenge for raising money for multiple animal rescues to honor the 34th birthday of the artist on 13th December. For this challenge, animal-loving fans of Swift are being asked to donate 13 dollars to a local shelter or rescue.

The amount decided for donations is a way to remember Swift’s favorite number. It is not a secret Swift loves animals, considering she is a parent to three cats. She even recently brought her cat, Benjamin Button, to the shoot for Time Magazine.

PEOPLE was able to obtain a statement by the Pennsylvania SPCA said that they began the #TaylorSwiftChallenge after a difficult year with a decreasing rate of adoption as well as an increasing rate of owner surrenders flooding into different shelters at an unstoppable rate.

The statement added, “They need support, and there is no better time than the present.”The organization was also seen teasing some of Swift’s lyrics in its message on Facebook, “Long story short, if you’re here, we hope you’ve chosen us! Will you be the 1 for animals in need by donating now? We have been thrilled to see it catch on with rescues and shelters from North Carolina to Texas, Missouri to Massachusetts, and Kansas City to Oklahoma participating. We’re not on our own, kid.
