To produce a white chi, both parents need to be white and without any black pigmentation. These chihuahuas do not have black pigmentation anywhere in their genes. Their nose, nails, and ears are also light in colour, like pink. 

However, make sure that you do not confuse an all white chi with an albino. And they are not even close relatives. It is the “sw” gene and the “cch” allele that are responsible for the perfect white colour. 

2. Blue

A blue chihuahua is one of the rarest and is the result of breeding two recessive genes. However, the color is so rare that there is no guarantee that if you breed two blue ones together, the little one will have a blue chi. 

The color can come from the bloodline and skip a few generations as well. However, do not think that the dog will have a bright blue coat. They have a grey-ish blue or dark blue-ish black coat.

4. Merle
