Dogs love chewing on bones, but not all bones are safe for dogs.

According to Experts, small, cooked bones are not safe as these bones are very brittle and splinters easily, thus becoming a choking hazard or damaging your dog’s GI tract.

Raw bones are safe for dogs as they are less likely to break into small fragments when chewed.

Raw meaty bones are especially excellent options. They are rich sources of nutrients and minerals and, therefore, good for your dog’s overall health.

Make sure that the bone is large and thick enough so that your dog cannot swallow it whole in one go.
