The dog needs a high amount of exercise. They have to be exercising for atleast 2 hours every day. It can be a little challenging to own these sight hounds for the first time pet parents.  

However, it is always exciting to work with such a type of dog. These dogs have a short coat. Hence, they tend to shed less. They have very low-maintenance grooming requirements.

1. Protein

    Provide your Mudhol Hound with lean meats like chicken, fish, and turkey as excellent sources of protein. 

    Protein helps build strong muscles, which are essential for athletic breeds like the Mudhol Hound.

          Since the breed has a very short coat, you can easily do it once or twice a week.  This process helps remove loose hair and increase circulation.  

          You should bathe a Mudhol Hound once every 4-6 weeks. Bathing becomes important only when they get very dirty.  A mild baby shampoo can easily help avoid skin irritation.  

          The ear of a Mudhol Hound is set high. However, the ear canal requires proper attention. You should clean your dog’s ear canal once a week with a soft cloth. 

          Moreover, this prevents the buildup of wax in the dog’s ears. Hence, this reduces the overall risk of infection. 

          The Mudhol Hound is a running breed. Thus, long nails can cause terrible problems for them. Thus, you should trim their nails once every three to four weeks.
